This week, Chapman University invited Ruxandra, our Creative Director, as a guest lecturer. In her “How will Design Shape Your Life” presentation, Ruxandra candidly revealed how she overcame the obstacles that lead her to start Belancio with her business partner. Pointing out her milestones, Ruxandra examined her career journey that evolved her in the person she is today.

Empowering Teens
Relationships are a vital part of everyday life. This past summer Ruxandra Isai, our Co-Founder and Creative Director, joined Women’s Step Up Network. A network dedicated to mentorship, networking and advancement for professional women and teen girls.
Our Involvement
Step Up invited Ruxandra to join fellow professional women from the Los Angeles and Orange County area for “I Dream to…” career day. The day is filled with creative expression, photojournalism, and career exploration.
Meet our Mentee
The program paired us with Katherine, a vibrant teen full of passion. “Her beautiful smile and sparkling personality peeked through as the day progressed. By the end of the day I discovered that this young woman has an amazing eye for fashion and art” describes Ruxandra. “My favorite thing about Katherine is her outgoing personality! Whenever she would pass by a friend she would exclaim a loud hello as she ran to give a quick hug. Her love for her friends and family is evident. Programs like these will give Katherine the tools necessary to pursue her academic and career goals. Thank you Step Up for a memorable day!”
Mentoring young women goes beyond just one simple career day, we plan to inspire many more teen girls through Step Up’s opportunities.
